Watch the Show! --- Flaring X-ray Stars at the Galactic Center

--- June 15, 1999
In their search for an elusive accreting millisecond X-ray pulsar, Dr. Craig Markwardt and collaborators have compiled a motion picture of the galactic center which features numerous X-ray flaring objects at a variety of timescales. The animation of the biweekly RXTE scans across this region beautifully capture the striking ever-changing dynamics of the X-ray sky.

Details of the results can be found at the NASA Press Release Page, as well as on our very own RXTE Learning Center.
