1999 Bruno Rossi Prize Recognizes RXTE Scientists!

January 8, 1999

The people behind the RXTE Project have been awarded the Rossi Prize by the High Energy Astrophysics Division (HEAD) of the American Astronomical Society. RXTE PIs Jean Swank (NASA/GSFC) and Hale Bradt (MIT) will share the prize, which is awarded annually in honor of Bruno Rossi, "for a significant contribution to High Energy Astrophysics, with particular emphasis on recent, original work." Hats off to Jean and Hale, for all their hard work in bringing about this enormously successful and productive mission!
