FTOOLS v3.6.1 users, please read

ASCA Users,

If you are using XTE update v3.6.1 of FTOOLS for your ASCA data analysis,
please read:

We have discovered (thanks to Steve Allen of Cambridge, UK) a problem with
ASCA SIS spectral analysis using this version of FTOOLS.  The problem causes
a spurious one channel shift in xspec, therefore some fitted parameters will
be incorrect and the fit will be poorer than it should be.  The above page
describes the problem in more detail as well as the workaround that you can
use until the next release of FTOOLS.

If you are using the original release of FTOOLS v3.6, you are not affected
by this problem.
