ASCA weekly

Dear ASCA users,

As you may know, a gamma-ray burst was observed with CGRO/BASTE from
the gamma-ray burst repeter SGR1806-20 (IAU Circ. No. 6242), suggesting
its turn-on to a high active state. We install a TOO observation of 40-ksec
exposue in the span of October 16, by replacing with the target NGC 1672
(JPN PriorityB,PI; H. Awaki). NGC 1672 is a target that is visible all the
season and will be be rescheduled in early December.

F. Nagase
