GLAST Multiwavelength Update

Multiwavelength Colleagues,

It has been quite a while since this mailing list was constructed,
but this seemed to be an opportune time to exercise it.

Both instruments on GLAST are making excellent progress.

You can see a photo of GLAST Burst Monitor (GBM) hardware at
http://f64.nsstc.nasa.gov/gbm/instrument/description/photos/SystemIntegration/IMG_0160.JPG

You can see all 16 towers of the Large Area Telescope (LAT) in place at
http://www-glast.slac.stanford.edu/IntegrationTest/photos/2005/10/2005-10-19%20Sixteen%20Towers/187_8749.JPG

The LAT team is continuing with multiwavelength planning. They have
produced two documents about this work:
http://www-glast.slac.stanford.edu/GLAST_CollaborationSEP04/MW_committee_report_public.pdf
and
http://www-glast.stanford.edu/collab0805/Wednesday/ThompsonMWupdate.pdf

Launch is less than two years away.

I look forward to working cooperatively with many of you during the
GLAST mission.

Regards,

Dave Thompson
