N E W   V I S I O N S   O F   T H E   X - R A Y   U N I V E R S E

              in the XMM-Newton and Chandra era

     26 - 30 Nov, 2001, ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands

This is the second announcement of a Symposium to be held from November 26th 
to 30th, 2001, at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) 
in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The Symposium will focus on the new results 
emerging from ESA's XMM-Newton Observatory, NASA's Chandra Observatory, 
and other missions, with the aim of providing a coherent view of recent 
progress in high energy astrophysics.

There will be a number of workshops, amongst which a few dedicated hands-on 
sessions on calibration and data analysis. Most of the XMM-Newton SOC staff 
will be available for answering your questions.

Important Dates:

Abstract deadline (moved!!)                  24 September 2001
Hotel reservation deadline                   30 September 2001
Notification to authors on oral or 
  poster presentation                         1 October   2001
Registration deadline                         1 November  2001  
Paper submission                             31 January   2002
