Release of a new version of the EPIC status of calibration and
data analysis document
==============================================================

A new version of the status document for EPIC has been released
containing an update of section 1.6 on Timing.

The document is available from the XMM-Newton Calibration Portal at
http://xmm2.esac.esa.int/external/xmm_sw_cal/calib/


XMM-Newton SOC temporary unavailability (no ToO service)
========================================================

The services of the XMM-Newton Science Operations Centre will be
affected due to a scheduled power outage at ESAC: starting on
Friday February 20th (morning) the website will be down and the
Target of Opportunity alert service will exceptionally be
interrupted. For the whole of the weekend (February 21st and 22nd)
then all ESAC services will be unavailable due to the power outage.
We regret any inconvenience caused by this unavoidable maintenance
activity.
