Cartesian Relative Coordinate System

[Hasinger1990a]

  figure1999

The relative coordinate system is a cartesian frame ( tex2html_wrap_inline16663 ) which projects the equatorial frame ( tex2html_wrap_inline16665 ) onto the plane FOV.  The tex2html_wrap_inline16667 -axis is aligned with the nominal pointing direction (or the centre of the strip during the all-sky survey phase), the tex2html_wrap_inline16669 -axis parallel to the local meridian in the direction of increasing tex2html_wrap_inline16671 , and the tex2html_wrap_inline16673 -axis perpendicular to the local meridian in the direction of increasing tex2html_wrap_inline16675 (Fig. 2.7).
