HRIEXO - Einstein Catalog HRI ESTEC Sources

Overview

The Einstein High Resolution Imager (HRI) consisted of a micro-channel plate. This database table has been generated at the EXOSAT observatory by automatically processing all the HRI images. Both the images and detected sources are available. This catalog has not been cleaned or checked. Users should beware of two possible problems: (1) spurious detections caused by extended sources have not been checked, and (2) there may be a one-pixel offset in some positions. For HRI images, one pixel is one arcsecond. (The images are rebinned from the original 0.5 arcseconds.)

Count_Rate
The count rate per second. This is the raw rate and it has NOT been corrected for vignetting, point spread function etc.

Dec
The `Dec` is that of the detected source if the sample is not TARGETS or TOTAL. It is the coordinates of the pointing position if the sample is TARGETS. For the latter sample the `count rate` equals -1.0.

End_Time
Start Time of the Observation

Exposure_Time
The total on-source exposure time, in seconds.

Extension_Flag
1 if extended, 0 otherwise

File_Image
The name of the file containing the image. The images are not available.

Flux_Error
The uncertainty in the 0.1-4.0keV flux.

Hour_End
The hour when the observation ended.

Hour_Start
The hour at which the observation started.

LII
The galactic longitude of the source, or pointing position (see RA and Dec).

Name
The name parameter is not filled in, currently it holds the date when the automatic analysis was run. This may be updated at some point.
