XTESLEW - RXTE Archived Public Slew Data

HEASARC
Archive

Overview

This database table is a catalog of all the RXTE slew observations and is based on information culled from the RXTE Data Archive's latest top-level FMI (FITS Master Index) file that is created when data products are made publicly available each week. ObsIDs listed in this table are available for download from https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/xte/data/archive/.

See the parameter 'data_loc' for the relative location of specific ObsIDs.

Provenance

The XTESLEW database table is updated automatically, usually on a weekly basis whenever the RXTE GOF updates the top-level FMI for the public data archive and notifies the HEASARC.

Data Products

The XTESLEW table has the following data products set defined:

Complete Data Directory of a Single XTE Observation (FULL OBSID)

This set contains the entire ObsID directory for each selected
observation. The ObsID directory contains all the data
	    products for each observation.

Parameters

ObsID
The unique identifer of the observation.

Cycle
The RXTE cycle (AO phase) number to which the observation belongs. IOC observations have cycle = 0.

Prnb
Proposal number of the observation.

Target_Number
Target number of the observation in the proposal.

Event_Flag
The type of event associated with the observation where:

A = slew before observation (available to the public)
     S = raster scan observation
Z = slew after observation (available to the public)
0-9 = parts of an observation that has been broken into smaller segments
B-R = (potentially) realtime changes in configurations

Start_Time
The time the observation started.

Stop_Time
The time the observation stopped.

PI_Name
The name of the principle investigator for the RXTE Observation Request.

Target_Name
The designation of the target of the observation.

RA
The Right Ascension of the target.

Dec
The Declination of the target.

LII
The Galactic Longitude of the target.

BII
The Galactic Latitude of the target.

Data_Loc
Pointer to the directory containing the data products. If the data is stored on-line, the path to the directory will be the concatenation of https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/xte/data/archive/ and the contents of the 'data_loc' parameter.
