**Name**

The name of the pulsar using the standard designation for pulsars,
based on its J2000 coordinates.

**Alt_Name**

The alternative pulsar designation, based on its B1950 Coordinates,
where used.

**Ref_Names**

The reference code for the quoted pulsar designation(s).

**RA**

The Right Ascension of the pulsar in the selected equinox. The RA is
given in J2000 coordinates and to various precisions in the original ATNF
table, ranging from 1.0E-08 seconds of time to 1 minute of time. The HEASARC
Browse system's built-in precession routines are not of astrometric accuracy,
and thus we recommend using the default J2000 equinox for positions when
querying this database. Even then, the Right Ascensions in this HEASARC table
are displayed only up to a precision of 0.0001 seconds of time; for those
specialized applications where a higher positional accuracy is desired, users
should consult the original version of these data at the ATNF Pulsar Group
website, http://www.atnf.csiro.au/research/pulsar/psrcat/.

**RA_Error**

The Right Ascension positional uncertainty (seconds).

**Ref_RA**

The reference code for the Right Ascension information.

**Dec**

The Declination of the pulsar in the selected equinox. The Declination
is given in J2000 coordinates and to various precisions in the original ATNF
table, ranging from 1.0E-05 arcseconds to 1 arcminute. The HEASARC Browse
system's built-in precession routines are not of astrometric accuracy, and
thus we recommend using the default J2000 equinox for positions when querying
this database. Even then, the Declinations in this HEASARC table are
displayed only up to a precision of 0.001 arcseconds; for those specialized
applications where a higher positional accuracy is desired, users should

**Position_Epoch**

The epoch at which the position was measured.

**LII**

The Galactic Longitude of the pulsar.

**BII**

The Galactic Latitude of the pulsar.

**Period**

The pulsar barycentric period, in seconds. This is given to various
precisions in the originating table, notice, up to more than 16 decimal
places. In this HEASARC table, the period is displayed (in character form)
exactly the way it is given at the ATNF Pulsar Group website,

**Period_Error**

The uncertainty in the pulsar barycentric period, in seconds.

**Ref_Period**

**Pulse_Width_50**

The width of the pulse at 50% of the peak (ms).
Note that pulse widths are a function of both observing frequency and
observational time resolution, so the quoted widths are illustrative only.

an orbital inclination i=90 degrees and a neutron star mass of 1.35 Solar Mass
Units (Solar Mass Units).

**Median_Mass**

The median companion mass for pulsars in binary systems,
assuming an orbital inclination i=60 degrees (Solar Mass Units).

**Companion_Type**

The type code for the pulsar's companion.

**Omega_Asc**

The longitude on the sky of the ascending node of the binary
orbit (from N toward E), in degrees.

**Omega_Asc_Error**

The uncertainty in the Omega_Asc parameter, in degrees.

The reference code for the Omega_Asc parameter.

**Distance**

The best estimate of the (heliocentric) distance to the pulsar
(kpc).

**DM_Distance_Limit**

A flag parameter which is set to '>' to indicate
that the quoted value of the Dm_distance parameter is a lower limit to
the actual value.

**DM_Distance**

The distance based on the Taylor & Cordes (1993, ApJ, 411, 674)
electron density model (kpc).

**DM_Sin_BII**

The parameter DM*sin(bii) (pc/cm^{3}).

**Z_Distance**

The pulsar's distance from the Galactic Plane, based on the
quoted heliocentric distance.

**X_Distance**

The pulsar's X-Distance in the X-Y-Z Galactic coordinate system
(kpc).

**Y_Distance**

The pulsar's Y-Distance in the X-Y-Z Galactic coordinate system
(kpc).

**Assoc_Object**

The name(s) of other objects, for example supernova remnants or
globular clusters, associated with the pulsar, and their corresponding
reference codes (in square brackets). The key to these codes is available at

**Discovery_Survey**

The survey code(s) corresponding to the surveys in which
the pulsar was detected (the discovery survey is listed first).

**Discovery_Date**

The date of the discovery publication (calendar year).

**Pulsar_Type**

**Luminosity_400_MHz**

The radio luminosity at 1400 MHz (mJy kpc^{2}).

**Age**

The spin-down age of the pulsar (0.5*Period/Period_dot, in years).

**B_Surf**

The surface magnetic flux density of the pulsar
(3.2*10^{19} * (Period*Period_dot)^{0.5}), in Gauss.

**E_Dot**

The spin-down energy-loss rate of the pulsar (erg/s).

**E_Dot_D2**

The energy flux at the Sun (erg/kpc^{2}/s).

**PM_Tot**

The total proper motion of the pulsar (mas/yr).

**PM_Tot_Error**

The uncertainty in the total proper motion (mas/yr).

**Transverse_Velocity**

The transverse velocity of the pulsar, based on the
the quoted Distance value (km/s).

**Corr_Period_Dot**

The pulse period derivative corrected for the proper
motion effect (s/s, i.e., dimensionless).

**Corr_Age**

The corrected spin-down age using Corr_Period_Dot (years).

**Corr_B_Surf**

The corrected surface magnetic dipole field using
Corr_period_dot (Gauss).

**B_Lc**

The magnetic field at the light cylinder (Gauss).

**Class**

The HEASARC Browse object classification based on the value of
the pulsar_type_parameter.
