Virginia Healy is a seventh grade math teacher at Thomas Harrison Middle School in Harrisonburg, VA. She is starting her ninth year of teaching Math 7 and Pre-Algebra. She received her B.S. and her M.Ed. in Middle Education from James Madison University. She is currently the President-Elect of the Valley of Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics (V2CTM) and treasurer of the Harrisonburg Education Association.

Being a huge sports fan, she really enjoys teaching percents and statistics, and is always looking for ways to make mathematics relate to the real world.

Her husband, Mark, is also a teacher, and coaches football and softball. They are both ski instructors at Massanutten during the winter season. Their black Lab, Ripken, runs their lives and keeps them in shape with his daily walks.
