At 0.93 keV the position resolution was found to be 300 
m
(corresponding to 
in the focal plane)
with a deviation of about 5 percent (rms) over the whole
sensitive area of the counter. In the central part of the field of
view the position resolution will be energy-dependent, while at off-axis
angles larger than about 20' the position resolution of the
combined XMA+PSPC system is dominated by the telescope rather than the
detector and is consequently energy-independent.
