ROSAT Guest Observer Facility

If one wanted to use one band for an average representative exposure map, which band should one use?

(3/15/94)

If one absolutely wanted to do this, then probably one should use channels 42 to 131. However, even this is generally not a good idea, because the spectra of diffuse sources (and even of the diffuse background in various parts of the sky) can differ significantly from the sky-averaged background spectrum.
