The “chains” aren't the only way to do the initial reduction, one can also use the “procs”:

epproc
move the output product(s)
epproc withoutoftime=true
Note that epproc withoutoftime=true will overwrite the output from epproc, so be careful to rename files between the two commands. The output event files from the “procs” have different names than those produced by the “chains”. Table 5 shows the correspondence between the two systems.
