The US to Participate in Astro-E2

NASA has announced today (July 19, 2001) that the United States and Japan will team up in the Astro-E2 project. This will be a re-build of ASTRO-E, which was lost due to a launch failure in February 2000. The Japanese government recently approved the Astro-E2 mission and has invited NASA to participate.
