XMM-Newton Science Data Mirror
The U.S. XMM-Newton GOF is pleased to announce the availability of all
XMM-Newton public data via our Browse interface and FTP server.
N.B. At this point, we cannot insure that the most recent PPS files
are available for any given observation. While this situation will
change in the future, this important caveat should be noted. There
may also be a lag of up to a few days between the release of the data
at Vilspa and the mirror at GSFC.

U.S. XMM-Newton budget proposal deadline approaching
A reminder that the deadline for budget submission of successful
proposals is Friday, 18 October, 2002. For more details go to:

U.S. SAS workshop deadline approaching
A reminder that the deadline for registration for the U.S. SAS workshop
is Monday, 14 October, 2002.

U.S. in-house support for RedHat (RH) linux versions
The U.S. XMM-Newton GOF is considering upgrading its last RH 6.2 linux
box to RH 7.3 in the near future. This would affect the level of
support we can offer U.S. users who run RH 6.2. SAS users who feel
that upgrading their system to RH 7.3 is a horrible burden should
contact the U.S. XMM-Newton GOF ASAP.
