Dr. Rots worked in radio astronomy (HI in galaxies) at the University of Groningen; the Netherlands Foundation for Radio Astronomy; the National Radio Astronomy Observatory at Green Bank, Charlottesville, and Socorro (VLA); and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Bangalore).
