TESS Cycle 9 selections

The results of the TESS Cycle 9 Call for Proposals have been announced.

There were 134 proposals submitted: 21 large, 105 small, and 8 mini. These proposals were split into five fields: Exoplanet (43), Stellar Astrophysics (71), Extragalactic (11), Solar System (4) and Other (5).

After review, 27 proposals were selected (3 large, 16 small, 8 mini) and 12 were marked as "Selectable" with a deferred decision pending future programmatic and budgetary decisions. All 2-minute and 20-second cadence targets requested by the selected and selectable proposals have enhanced priority for observation in Cycle 9. The figure below provides a summary of the funded Cycle 9 proposals and our approved programs page provides the full list of proposals.

Congratulations to all successful PI's and Co-I's! For those of you with proposals that did not get selected this time round, we strongly encourage you to apply again in the future. Thank you all for the wonderful science proposed, it is through your hard work that the TESS mission is a success.
