XMM-Newton MOS First Light - 30 Dor

EPIC-MOS false colour X-ray image of the 30 Doradus region of the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC), the closest galaxy to our own. This image shows an extraordinary X-ray view of this complex region of the LMC which includes several supernova remnants and the "stellar nursery" in the 30 Doradus region itself.
