Eclipse Spectrum of Centaurus X-3:

Emission and Absorbtion by Iron

A 14,000s exposure in one SIS camera taken during the eclipse of the high mass X-ray binary Cen X-3. The iron line region shows three prominent iron K emission lines from cold iron (6.4 keV), He-like iron (6.7 keV), and Hydrogen- like iron (6.9 keV). There is also a deep edge at 7.1 keV from cold iron.
