fv: The Interactive FITS File Editor

fv is a software tool for viewing and editing any FITS format image or table. The latest version is 2.6.1, released February 11, 2000. fv has a graphical user interface written using Incr Tcl/Tk (version 3.1). The fv software distribution ships with everything you need to build (i.e. you do not need Tcl/Tk already installed on your machine). fv currently runs on many Unix platforms, including SUN Solaris, SGI IRIX, Dec OSF, and both Mac and PC Linux. Mac OS and Windows NT/95/98 versions are also available.
