The following software is supported by the HEASARC.
Most of this software is designed for professional researchers and advanced students
for the analysis of scientific astronomical observations in
FITS format.
These software packages are to be downloaded to the users machine.

The MAXI CALDB has been updated for the GSC. The GSC CALDB has been updated to version 20250915.
HEASoft 6.36 has been released. The HEASoft 6.36 release is driven by new and updated mission-specific data analysis software (XRISM, IXPE, MAXI, BurstCube, et al.) and other enhancements and fixes. 6.36 release notes for details.
The Swift SC has been updated to version 20250909 to update the clock correction file to v168 ...
The CALDB caldb.config file has been updated to include the BurstCube CS0, CS1, CS2, and CS3 entries, and the caldb setup tar file has been updated with the new caldb.config file.
Old tools:
- Profit: GUI tool for visualizing and modeling high-resolution spectra.
- Maki: Displays fields of view for various instruments on FITS images. Supports the Suzaku XIS & HXD, Chandra ACIS & HRC, XMM EPIC, and RXTE PCA detectors.
- Hera (DEPRECATED): Run the HEASoft software suite on the Hera servers at the HEASARC, without having to install the software packages locally.
