Spring 2021 Analysis & Science WorkshopThe Spring 2021 NICER Analysis Workshop will be held virtually from 9 am to 1 pm EDT (13:00-17:00 UTC) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of the week of May 10th, 2021. The Monday and Tuesday sessions will focus on tutorials and data analysis; the Thursday and Friday sessions will focus on NICER-related science results.
The primary objective of the workshop is to discuss data analysis techniques and new science results that maximize use of the unique timing and spectroscopy data provided by NICER.
Presentations on Monday and Tuesday will cover data selection, background modeling, timing, and spectroscopy. Speakers in these sessions will include K. Gendreau / Z. Arzoumanian (mission status), Craig Markwardt (calibration & software), and Ron Remillard (background modeling). There will be time for user analysis questions.
Science presentations on Thursday and Friday are invited from members of the community of users.
