NICER data will be archived at the HEASARC in the standard (OGIP/HEASARC) high-energy FITS file formats. Supporting software, in the form of FTOOLS, will also be available at the HEASARC by the time that the public archive opens. It is anticipated that, approximately 6 months into the mission, when a full set of calibration information is available, NICER data will start being delivered to the archive, within a few days of each observation. Measurements requiring the deepest exposures or longest monitoring will be made public no later than 6 months after the end of the observation. Assuming a launch date in June 2017, we estimate that the first NICER data sets will become publically available in February 2018.
