XSLIDE (X-ray Spectrum Line IDentification and Exploration) is designed to be a simple and user-friendly tool to plot spectra, automatically detect lines, assign these lines to known sources, and perform further diagnoses, all without requiring the selection of models for forward fitting. This tool can be used for such tasks as quickly examining many spectra to find those which contain sources of interest. Following this detection work, more rigorous tools such as XSPEC can be used to perform more sophisticated analyses on spectra of interest.

This tool is still under development and is not yet available for use.
