Webspec Logo WebSpec is a WWW interface for the X-ray spectral fitting package, XSPEC. It simulates spectral data for a variety of X-ray missions/instruments. WebSpec can not be used to analyze real data. This is the advanced entry page. A simpler option is available.


Specify the desired model expression by clicking on the proper combination of components and operators. Additive models are indicated by (a) following their name and multiplicative models by (m). Additive models must be combined using the + operator and multiplicative models must enter in the expression using one of the * operator options. When you are ready click the button to set model parameters. To start again click the reset button.
