These Web-based tools provide information specific to a single mission.

  • XRISM Roll Angle – Determine the range of possible roll angles for a XRISM observation of a target or the time constraints for a roll-constrained XRISM observation of a target
  • HEXTErock – HEXTE cluster background positions on the sky
  • RXTE Weather Map – Sources historically detected by the RXTE All-Sky Monitor

  • Viewing tool updated (24 Jun 2026)
    The Viewing tool's Sun angle constraint for NuSTAR observations has been updated to reflect the mission's new requirements.
  • xTime tool updated (22 Jun 2026)
    A new version of the xTime mission date/time conversion tool has been released that adds support for the IXPE mission and fixes some long-standing issues with converting date/times that correspond to leap seconds and negative MET seconds (for all missions except RXTE and Swift).
  • FITS File Verifier tool updated (16 Jan 2026)
    The new version of the FITS File Verifier tool has been reimplemented to be more robust and to use the latest version of the HEASoft fitsverify command line tool. The tool has also been migrated to the HEASARC website.
  • Viewing tool updated (24 Feb 2025)
    The Viewing tool's integration with the XMM-Newton Target Visibility Tool has been updated to work with the latest version of the European Space Agency's tool.
  • xTime tool updated (11 Jul 2024)
    A new version of the xTime mission date/time conversion tool was released that fixes issues with converting from either NuSTAR or INTEGRAL times to XRISM times.
