On the cover
Fv is a stand-alone program developed at the HEASARC for viewing and editing any FITS format data file. It provides a graphical user interface (written in Tcl/Tk) for editing FITS header keywords and for viewing or editing the data in FITS images and tables. The front cover picture shows some sample windows from an fv session in which ROSAT PSPC data of the radio-loud active galaxy Cen A are being examined. See the article by W. Pence on fv in this issue for more details of this software.
