Dear Colleagues,

 

We are pleased to announce the XMM-Newton 25th Anniversary Conference

May 19-22, 2025, Baltimore, MD

 

This conference will celebrate 25 years since the mission’s first light in early 2000. Conference topics will cover the wide breadth of XMM science, including but not limited to:

  • Time domain science
  • Exoplanet habitability and stellar science
  • Active galactic nuclei, starburst, and outflows
  • Clusters and groups of galaxies
  • Supernova remnants
  • Solar System science
  • X-ray binaries, compact objects, and ultra-luminous X-ray sources

 

Additionally, there will be sessions devoted to the history of XMM-Newton, its synergy with current and future multi-wavelength missions, and its role as a pathfinder for future missions such as NewAthena and AXIS.

 

Abstract Submission and Key Dates

Abstract submission for contributed talks and posters is now open: Submit Abstract

  • March 28 – Abstract Submission Deadline for Contributed Talks
  • ~April 4 – Registration Opens
  • ~April 25 – Registration Deadline
  • May 7 – Abstract Submission Deadline for Posters
  • May 19-22 – Conference Dates

 

Important Note for NASA Civil Servants:
Attendees planning to participate in this NASA-sponsored domestic event must register in NCTS by COB March 14, 2025 (NCTS # 51864-25).
