We take the opportunity to remind of the deadline for abstract submission and other important dates: Deadline for abstract submission Thursday, 3rd March 2022 Notification to authors Tuesday, 5th April 2022 Early Registration deadline Thursday, 19th May 2022 Registration deadline Thursday, 7th June 2022 Abstracts for oral and poster presentations can be submitted via the [5]Workshop Web page, or directly from [6]https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cosmos.esa.int%2Fweb%2Fxmm-newton%2Fworkshop-abstract&data=04%7C01%7Cxmmnews%40lists.nasa.gov%7C48e5174c11a74ccf768e08d9f8718be0%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C637813988834984533%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=IKRszL3WQLkNt%2BP0A%2BD%2BcyPYJLLfsvxmGycLq185BFI%3D&reserved=0 CONTACT Local Organising Committee: [7]xmmws2022@sciops.esa.int Up-to-date information is always available via the Workshop Web page [8]https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fxmmworkshop.esa.int%2F&data=04%7C01%7Cxmmnews%40lists.nasa.gov%7C48e5174c11a74ccf768e08d9f8718be0%7C7005d45845be48ae8140d43da96dd17b%7C0%7C0%7C637813988834984533%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=PQaD28AjWJHET2gCU0Ggt8IrCAnpTw2MKUuGeYR1JIE%3D&reserved=0 Call for XMM-Newton results with potential for ESA Press Releases We are looking forward to hearing about exciting new results obtained with XMM-Newton. Presenting new results as ESA public relations (PR) releases (e.g. ESA web-releases), represents an important support for the mission. Ideally, the PR process starts as soon as a paper is submitted to the journal and before the results are made public in any way (e.g. astro-ph). Should you have any interesting highlight result that you want to share with the community, please contact us at the [9]XMM-Newton HelpDesk. ESA ARCHIVAL RESEARCH VISITOR PROGRAMME To increase the scientific return from its Space Science missions, the European Space Agency welcomes applications from scientists interested in pursuing research projects based on data publicly available in the ESA Space Science Archives. The ESA Archival Research Visitor Programme is open to scientists, at all career levels, affiliated with institutes in ESA Member States and Collaborating States. Early-career scientists (within 10 years of the PhD) are particularly encouraged to apply. Applications by PhD students are also welcome. During their stay, visiting scientists will have access to archives and mission specialists for help with the retrieval, calibration, and analysis of archival data. In principle, all areas of space research covered by ESA science missions can be supported. Residence lasts typically between one and three months, also distributed over multiple visits. Research projects can be carried out at ESAC (Madrid, Spain) and at ESTEC (Noordwijk, Netherlands). To offset the expenses incurred by visitors, ESA covers travel costs from and to the home institution and provides support for lodging expenses and meals. Deadline for applications for visits in Autumn 2022 / Winter 2023 is 30 April 2022.
