The XMM-Newton Science Operations Centre is pleased to announce the
next installment of the major astrophysical Symposium "The X-ray
Universe 2023", from 13 to 16 June 2023 in Athens, Greece.
The abstract submission for this workshop is now open [2]at this link.
The registration will open in the coming weeks.

AIMS AND SCOPE OF THE MEETING
The symposium is the sixth meeting in the series "The X-ray Universe".
It is intended to encompass a broad range of high energy astrophysics
topics and provide a showcase for results and discoveries not only from
XMM-Newton but also from other current missions. In addition, the
scientific potential of future projects will be discussed at the
conference.
TOPICS
Session topics will include, among others:
* Solar System
* Exoplanets and their Host Stars
* Stars and White Dwarfs
* Isolated Neutron Stars
* White Dwarf, Neutron Star and Black Hole Binaries
* ULXs
* Supernovae, GRB and GW events
* Supernova Remants
* Diffuse Emission and Galactic Halos
* Galaxies and Galactic Surveys
* Active Galactic Nuclei
* Groups of Galaxies, Clusters of Galaxies and Superclusters
* Cosmology with Clusters of Galaxies, AGN and Extragalactic Deep
Fields
* Current and Future Missions
* Analysis and related Software (e.g. SAS, xspec)
VENUE
The Eugenides Planetarium hosts a state-of-the-art digital planetarium
and multiple conference rooms for the symposium. It is located close to
the harbor in the southern part of Athens.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
Registration Fee:
Students able to provide a document of eligibility, until 5th May
400 EUR
Early fee, until 5th May
550 EUR
Late fee, after 5th May
700 EUR
Online only participation
300 EUR
The fee includes the welcome reception and coffee breaks.
Registration will open in the coming weeks.
SOCIAL EVENTS
Welcome Cocktail
On Tuesday June 13th, a welcome cocktail will take place at the venue.
The registration desk will be open.
Conference Dinner
A social conference dinner will be held either on Wednesday or Thursday
evening. More details to be announced soon.
