ASCA spectrum of SN 1993J

X-rays from the supernova SN 1993J in the spiral galaxy M81. The explosion is believed to have been a Type IIpec. The X-ray spectrum obtained with the ASCA GIS instrument can been fitted with a high-temperature (kT > 20 keV) thermal Bremsstrahlung, plus K-line emission from the He-like iron at 6.7 keV.
