The XMM-Newton Twentieth Announcement of Opportunity (AO-20) closed on
   the 9th of October 2020.

In total, 447 valid proposals were received, 7 of them within the
category of 'Multi-Year Heritage Programmes'. A total of 24.2 Ms were
requested in this category, for which up to 6 Ms of observing time over
at most three consecutive AOs will be available.

For the rest of the proposals (440) this Announcement of Opportunity
covers a period of one year, with 12 Ms of observing time available for
distribution. A total of 82.4 Ms of science time were requested. The
   over-subscription factor is 6.9.

A total of 47 proposals were received for Large Programmes, and 20 for
Fulfil Programmes. Anticipated Target of Opportunity observations were
requested in 66 proposals. For the joint programmes, 101 proposals were
submitted: 56 request time for the XMM-NuSTAR programme, 25 for the
XMM-HST programme, 15 for the XMM-SWIFT programme, 11 for the
   XMM-Chandra programme, 8 for the XMM-VLT programme, 7 for the XMM-NRAO
programme, and 2 for the XMM-H.E.S.S programme,

SOC received proposals from 373 different principal investigators from
